Explain THAT Science!: World Population and Statistical Lies

I’ve been told by my fellow teacher colleagues that the world population is 6 billion.  6 thousand million!  I probably shouldn’t have even asked my colleagues for their opinion on this issue and just contradicted the school textbook, since most of it is filled with secular crap.  Does anyone really believe there are 6 billion people in the world?  Seriously?

I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist and say that the number of people on the planet has been greatly exaggerated as a depopulation agenda.  Instead, I think it has more to do with some unconscious desire of people to not be lonely.  The more people you have in the world, the less lonely.

But, even if that’s not it, it could just be shear stupidity of so called experts in their so called expert fields.  For obvious reasons, numbers can only be so big.  Or at least if they appear big, you have to be pretty suspicious of them.  This is known as Hovind’s law of scary numbers.  If numbers sound big, they must be scary.  And obviously if it’s too scary to be true, it probably is.

What I find most odd is, how are these numbers even gathered?  Are we to really believe that China has as many people as it does? Who counts those numbers?  I don’t know but I think it’s the Chinese government and wouldn’t it be in their best self-interest to inflate those numbers? And if it really isn’t the Chinese government that counts all these numbers but statisticians, then we should be even more skeptical.  Statisticians – the last time I checked – are scientists.  And unfortunately these days, science means secular propaganda.

  1. You are so very right! There are NOT 6 Billion people on this planet. AND, Yes it IS a Lie being perpetuated in order to dupe humanity into de-populatiom. Too bad so many are so stupid and will never believe it until it is too late.
